Who We Are

Built on Care. Rooted in Community.

Shining Star Centre is a registered nonprofit organization dedicated to making a real, lasting difference in the lives of people with disabilities and vulnerable community members across Kenya.

"We believe that every person — regardless of ability — deserves dignity, support, and the opportunity to live a full life."

For more than seven years, our team has worked hand-in-hand with individuals, families, and communities — delivering disability support programs and menstrual hygiene initiatives that address the most pressing needs with consistency and care.

We are a registered 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization, operating between Kenya and the United States, fully accountable to the communities we serve.

Disability support
01
Disability Support Program

Care and Support for People with Disabilities

We provide essential care, practical support, and community inclusion for people living with disabilities of all kinds. Our work ensures that individuals with disabilities are not overlooked — that they receive the assistance, respect, and opportunities they deserve.

From direct community outreach to support for families caring for a person with a disability, our team walks alongside those we serve with consistency and genuine commitment.

Dignity program
02
Health & Dignity Program

Menstrual Hygiene & Dignity for Every Girl

We distribute sanitary supplies and deliver health education directly to girls and young women, helping them manage their menstrual health with dignity and confidence — and keeping them in school without interruption.

Our dignity drives, paired with open community conversations around menstrual health, work to dismantle the stigma that too often sidelines girls when they need to be learning.
