Our commitment
Shining Star Centre exists to serve people living with disabilities, so we want our website to be usable by everyone. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA.
What we do
- Use a responsive layout that adapts to phones, tablets and computers.
- Provide text descriptions (alternative text) for most photographs on our pages.
- Use clear headings and links, and a navigation menu that works with a keyboard and on mobile.
- Aim for readable type and good colour contrast between text and background.
We have not yet completed a formal accessibility audit, so some parts of the site may not fully meet these guidelines. We are working to improve.
Known limitations
Some photo descriptions and captions added by our team may be brief, and a few pages may have gaps we have not yet found. If you come across a barrier, please tell us.
