By using shiningstarcentrecorp.org (the "Website") you agree to these Terms of Use and to our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Website. The Website is operated by Shining Star Centre Corporation, a Georgia nonprofit corporation and 501(c)(3) public charity (EIN 82-4208884), also operating in Kenya.
2. About the Website
The Website provides information about our mission, programs, news and ways to support our work. It is for general information and is not professional, medical, legal or financial advice. We try to keep information accurate and current but cannot guarantee that it is always complete or up to date.
3. Donations
- Payment processing. Donations are made through PayPal, on PayPal's pages and under PayPal's terms. We do not see or store your card or bank details.
- Tax treatment. Shining Star Centre Corporation is a 501(c)(3) public charity (EIN 82-4208884). Contributions by US donors may be tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. Unless we tell you otherwise, you receive no goods or services in exchange for a donation. Please consult your own tax adviser. To request a written acknowledgement for your records, email info@shiningstarcentrecorp.org.
- Use of donations. Donations support our mission and programs. Where you choose a specific program, we will use your gift for that program where feasible; if that need is fully funded or can no longer be carried out, we may use the gift for a similar purpose within our mission.
- Refunds. Donations are generally non-refundable. If you believe a donation was made by mistake or without your authorization, contact us promptly at info@shiningstarcentrecorp.org with your PayPal transaction details and we will work with you and PayPal to resolve it.
- Recurring gifts. If you set up a recurring donation through PayPal, you can manage or cancel it in your PayPal account at any time.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the Website. In particular, you must not attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Website, its administration tools or its data; interfere with its operation or security; use automated tools to scrape or overload it; or use it for any unlawful purpose.
5. Intellectual property
The Website's text, design, logo, photographs and other content belong to Shining Star Centre Corporation or are used with permission, and may not be copied or reused for commercial purposes without our written consent. Names and logos of our partners appear to identify them and remain the property of their respective owners. Sharing a link to a page, or sharing our content on social media with credit to us, is welcome.
6. Photographs and stories
We share photographs and stories to illustrate our work. If you appear in one and want it changed or removed, email info@shiningstarcentrecorp.org.

The Website links to third-party sites and services (such as PayPal and social media). We do not control them and are not responsible for their content, availability or practices.
